When enough Insulin is not produced in the body, or when the Insulin produced is not properly utilized, the result is increase in blood sugar. Then the sugar or the glucose will reach all the parts of the body through blood. When the percentage of glucose in the blood increases, kidneys will discharge the extra glucose through urine. The more glucose in the blood produces more urine. When the body fails to utilize the glucose in the blood, it looks for other means of obtaining the essential energy. It then remembers the fat stored in the body cells. The fat in the food eaten will be converted into fatty acids and stored in the cells as the reserve sources of energy.
