Ketones

When the body utilizes the fat stored in the cells, as energy, ketones will be first produced, then stored in the blood and finally flow into the urine. Just as in the cases of too much glucose in the blood, too much ketone too will increase the discharge of urine, consequently resulting in the shortage of fluids (water) in the body. Then blood becomes acidic which is known as Keto Acidosis. These ketones produced in the body are highly poisonous. Because of their influence, brain cells will swell and the patient may lose consciousness and get into coma. Keto Acidosis is also called Acidosis and the coma resulting from the state is called Diabetic Coma. If immediate action is not taken, they may die because of Diabetic Coma. Those who keep their Diabetes under control will never reach this stage.
